International Connectivity
GBI is “Connecting the World to the Gulf” and is therefore investing in extending the international reach of the network.
From the Gulf, the GBI cable system extends eastward to India and our landing station in Mumbai. This provides GBI’s customers with access to one of the fastest growing telecom’s markets in the world and is GBI’s gateway to Asia. Through our network partnership agreements, GBI can facilitate onward connectivity to all the major Asian cities.
To the west, the GBI cable system routes via the Red Sea, terrestrially over Egypt and then across the Mediterranean Sea to Mazara in Sicily. From Mazara, GBI offers a fully protected, diverse route to Milan. Onward connectivity is provided to Marseille, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and London.
