GBI is a newly launched company which will provide wholesale telecommunication carrier services to telecom operators from around the Gulf and beyond. We are investing in the latest fiber optic technology, which will ensure that operators and their end customers benefit from faster and more resilient services. We will launch in quarter one 2011.

Our mission is to be the carrier’s carrier of choice and facilitate communications, be it voice, data, internet or video, which will enable the region to grow both socially and economically. Effective communications infrastructure and connectivity are both essential and integral to creating a successful and dynamic region.

What makes GBI different is our approach to the market. Unlike the majority of subsea cables, GBI is not owned or controlled by anyone particular telecom operator, meaning that we are operator neutral and we will strive to serve all telecom operators equally offering improved value, choice and capacity.
